What travelers need to know about the Zika virus

The World Health Organization last week declined to recommend travel or trade restrictions related to theZika virus, which is spreading throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
But as evidence mounts that the mosquito-borne disease could be linked to microcephaly, a birth defect that leads to shrunken heads in newborns, the organization is recommending that pregnant women consider delaying travel to any area where the virus has been detected.
