Huge 6.6 magnitude earthquake rocks eastern Russia

The quake hit the Kamchatka region at 05:10 GMT and it struck at a depth of about 33 km (20 miles) just off the coast in the Bering Sea.
It was initally recorded with a magnitude of 7.0 but the US Geological Survey (UGS) later revised it to 6.6.
Around 179,526 people are thought to live in the Kamchatsky region, which lies near the earthquake hotspot known as the Ring of Fire..
