Breaking: Obama Appointed Tech CEO To High-Power Military Position

Last year, the administration of then-President Barack Obama set up a Pentagon advisory board and placed the chairman of Google’s parent company at its helm. Roughly one year into President Donald Trump’s tenure, that man still remains at this coveted position.
Launched in 2016 by then-Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, the so-called Defense Innovation Advisory Board was designed “to kick-start innovation across the U.S. military by building bridges to the technology industry,” according to Reuters.
The basic premise was that perhaps the Pentagon’s technological prowess could be enhanced if a bunch of pompous techies were to advise it. Wonderful.
