The World Health Organization last week declined to recommend travel or trade restrictions related to theZika virus , which is spreading throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
But as evidence mounts that the mosquito-borne disease could be linked to microcephaly, a birth defect that leads to shrunken heads in newborns, the organization is recommending that pregnant women consider delaying travel to any area where the virus has been detected.
