4.5 magnitude earthquake shakes Oklahomans awake

A 4.5 magnitude earthquake rattled the Sooner State Thursday morning around 3:49 a.m. It was centered in Grant County near Medford, Oklahoma.
It was felt as far east as Tulsa, Broken Arrow, and Claremore. There have been no reports of any injury or damage.

Erdogan says he wants to meet Putin 'face to face' at climate summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday he wanted to meet Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the climate summit in Paris after the downing of a Russian warplane.
"I would like to meet him face to face on Monday," Erdogan said. But he said Ankara did not deliberately down the plane and dismissed Putin's criticism of the incident as "unacceptable".

Moderate earthquake rumbles off Oregon coast

A moderate earthquake has struck off the coast of southern Oregon. The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 4.4 temblor struck at 11:36 p.m. Wednesday and was centered about 170 miles west of Coos Bay and six miles beneath the seabed.

Myanmar landslide: 'Many missing' at Kachin jade mine

Many people are still missing after a massive landslide at a jade mine in Myanmar's northern Kachin state. At least 104 bodies have now been recovered, with some estimates saying more than 100 people are still missing. Western Kansas experiences tornadoes, blizzard, earthquake in matter of days

Many of us got a powerful wake up call at 1:42 this morning when an earthquake in Oklahoma shook us awake! It had dozens of people calling 911. The quake that measured a magnitude 4.7 was centered near Cherokee, Oklahoma. And we weren’t the only ones to feel it. In fact, it was so powerful that it could be felt more than 950 miles to the west in Tucson, Arizona.
