Nobody knows what’s happening over there. The lack of information from any official teams increases the mystery. Sinkhole? Geological fault? Or lack of rain?

The number of measles cases stemming from an outbreak at a private detention center has increased to 11 confirmed cases.
State health officials announced the potential exposure area has been expanded; they said some of the people with measles may have exposed others within Maricopa and Pinal counties.

June 7: FEMA Will Hold A Drill To Prepare For A 9.0 Cascadia Subduction Zone Earthquake And Tsunami

Starting on June 7th, FEMA will be conducting a large scale drill that has been named “Cascadia Rising” that will simulate the effects of a magnitude 9.0 earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone and an accompanying west coast tsunami dozens of feet tall. According to the official flyer for the event, more than “50 counties, plus major cities, tribal nations, state and federal agencies, private sector businesses, and non-governmental organizations across three states – Washington, Oregon, and Idaho – will be participating”.  In addition to “Cascadia Rising”, U.S. Northern Command will be holding five other exercises simultaneously.  According to the final draft of the Cascadia Rising drill plan, those five exercises are entitled “Ardent Sentry 2016″, “Vigilant Guard”, “Special Focus Exercise”, “Turbo Challenge” and “Joint Logistics Over-The-Shore”.  The primary scenario that of all of these participants will be focusing on will be one that involves a magnitude 9.0 earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone followed by a giant tsunami that could displace up to a million people from northern California to southern Canada.

Japan puts military on alert for possible North Korea missile launch

Japan put its military on alert on Monday for a possible North Korean ballistic missile firing, while South Korea also said it had detected evidence of launch preparations, officials from Japan and South Korea said.

NASA launches spacecraft to STOP Earth-bound KILLER asteroid

Experts at the space agency have touted the asteroid to be potentially hazardous and even a threat to life as we know it.
The OSIRIS-Rex mission will blast off from Florida in September and is set to reach the asteroid dubbed Bennu in 2018.

The remarkable footage was captured by the US space agency's Solar Dynamics Observatory between May 17 and 19.
The video shows a giant dark area on the star's upper half, known as a coronal hole.

Venezuelan government mandates fingerprint biometrics for food

The move to biometric scanners has become a reality, even though the effort began a few years ago by President Nicholas Maduro. It is called the “Fingerprints for Food” program by the socialist government, as reported by the Miami Herald. With it, people can only get minimal goods, medicine and supplies from the state-owned grocery stores.
Maduro said fingerprinting was necessary to prevent hoarding and to keep price-controlled food from being resold for profit.

Thousands of dead fish wash up on Grand Isle beach

Residents woke up to hundreds of thousands of dead fish washing up on the beach Tuesday morning, just days before Memorial Day weekend.
"Thousands and thousands, they go as far as you can see," said Bill Long, describing the scene he saw on the beach.
Long has been coming to Grand Isle since 1968 and said he has never seen, or smelled, anything like this.
