An African war lord is accused of ordering cannibalism among 70 war crime charges.
Dominic Ongwen of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) was, up until a year ago, one of the most fearsome men in Africa. LRA is notorious for its use of child soldiers and engaging in sexual war crimes such as the systematic rape of women and girls in the villages it attacks. Ongwen, 40, was kidnapped by the LRA and forced to join its ranks when he was 10 years old.
