2 NYPD Officers Shot in Bronx

An alleged gunman is dead after two New York City police were shot Thursday night while patroling a public housing complex in the Bronx. Both officers were listed in stable condition and were reportedly alert, police representatives say. Around 8 p.m., two officers at the Melrose Houses building reportedly confronted a pair men drinking beer in a stairwell and asked for identification.
