Britain on STORM ALERT: Fierce gales and torrential rain to hit SOUTH for WASHOUT WEEKEND

More than two inches of rain is forecast in parts of the country with up to 90mph winds threatening a washout weekend.
Stormy weather will make a comeback on Friday with the south in the firing line for the worst of the battering at the weekend.
