A magnitude 6.4 earthquake hit the Solomon Islands at 12.19am today, according to the Malaysian Meterological Department.
In a statement in Kuala Lumpur, the department said the epicentre was 124km south-west of Arawa, Papua New Guinea and 4,193km south-east of Semporna. Sabah.
