Earthquake strikes Papua New Guinea, triggers tsunami fear

The 7.5-magnitude quake struck about 140 kilometers (90 miles) south of the town of Kokopo in northeastern Papua New Guinea, at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles), the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
